Adaptive Program
The Macon-Bibb County Parks & Recreation Department offers programs for individuals with special needs. The Special Olympics Program is a year round program providing training and competitive opportunities for this population. In addition, we offer various social functions throughout the year.
Volunteers from the community have traditionally played an important role in our outreach to individuals with special needs. Civic groups, churches, businesses, and school groups have found great satisfaction in giving of themselves in an effort to help us maintain these programs.
